Blogging, a beautiful idea that arose out of someone’s mind just a few years ago has now grown to a kind of never-ending entity of the internet. Ever since blogging started to gain popularity, its viral growth has only been growing more and more. Like everything in this world going through a certain phase change, blogging has also been experiencing such a phase change.
Blogging is something like an online means to express one’s opinion. But today blogging has been put to variety of purposes. From personal stuffs to money and news, blogging is all that the internet is interested in. Although social media has been influencing the lives of people, blogging is making people live. Influence has a different meaning than making living. Bloggers these days make a living out of blogging.
This thought of living by blogging grew viral seeing greats like Yaro Starak, Darren Rowse, John Chow etc., who made 5 figures every month through blogging. Blogging has given them all.
When such is the present situation of blogging what might be its future? This is that question which every one of you has to ask for yourselves. Blogging? Where is it heading? before that what was its past and what’s its current scenario?
The Past:
Everyone of us love reading the past of things. So how did blogging viralize? Who started this particular concept?
Precisely NONE know the answer. Blogging had no point of evolution. It can be said that there were only earlier bloggers who started blogging to share their personal opinions. Some of them include Justin Hall, Jerry Eugene Pournelle etc., but they were not those who conceptualized it.
As it began to gain popularity, more and more people started blogging.
Then beginners in blogging are now considered greats in it.
Simple and best examples are Darren Rowse and Yaro Starak who are considered one of the finest of bloggers. Bloggers can’t just resist reading their blogs.
What was their secret? May be that’s what they convey using their respective blogs.
Earlier when blogs were less in number and so the bloggers, blogging was something not within reach of people. People did not know what a blog was and hence fewer blogs came up. Not to mention I find most of the then young bloggers disappearing. Of course I do come under that list. I am missing many great blogs that I admired and grew up learning blogging with their help.
Currently none of them are active. Might be a few. A few that went on growing and growing. Few such blogs include Shout Me Loud And WpBeginners.
Harsh Agarwal and Syed Balkhi were few of my all time favorites whose popularity sky rocketed at a great pace. I could see a lot of difference in their blogs from when I left blogging 3 years ago till now. Their way of blogging has changed considerably.
Few years ago blogging tips was hot niche. Even though it’s still hot, I feel the same tips going around and around the blogosphere(nothing to criticize!! no issues please). That can have no alternative. People will keep sharing their experiences in blogging. That’s what the entire niche is meant for.
Coming to other niches. Niche blogging was one of the most trending blogging methods then. But it’s apparently less found thing these days than before. Blogging on a single niche, I think people had given it up.
There are lot’s other changed that have occurred to blogosphere. Let me continue with them in my succeeding posts.
The Past generation of bloggers have nearly ceased existence and ….{to be continued}

So do you think niche blogging does not exist any more? I don’t think that is the case. I mean I myself have a blog documenting how am I building my internet business. My niche is make money online. So my goal is to write about how I am getting started to my first success and also advice to others as to how they can get started too.
So what is the main objective of this blog then?
Thanks for your comments Steve. I appreciate your criticism there.
Here is what I mean and you misunderstood. First thing what I meant actually is that the number of blogs concentrating on a single niche have just diminished. Never did I mentioned they are no niche blogs these days.
And also I meant that people these days concentrating on making money online don’t really blog just about how to make money online, they do go for other niche’s related to making money.
There are less number of blogs concentrating on just that one niche. I see all MMO blogs these days blogging about IM, blogging tips, SEO, WordPress along with their particular niche. And even this has no alternative.
MMO niche has evolved so. Niche blogs of those days have lasted for less duration.
Blogosphere is transforming day by day. This is all what I meant there.
And yeah this blog as I said has no one particular niche. That’s what I mentioned in the about page. You will have posts on multiple niches, not a single niche alone.
Anyway, I really appreciate the point you took for the criticism. Thanks Steve. Keep reading and posting your opinions.
Harish,
Nice point of discussion. You’ve an interesting blog.
Blogging hasn’t changed in hundreds of years if you really think about. The platform has changed, the common man got the handle on it because of the technology. But if we look back, people have done that through newspapers, printing press, magazines and other form of sharing their thoughts with the world from ages.
Technology will change, platforms will change. However, the ideas, the principles of human interactions will never change.

Thanks for your comments and the complement gawrav.
As you have rightly mentioned Blogging has changed due to technology and the way its done today is biased on technology.
Blogging, I mean actually is all about sharing thoughts. Today is something else and is something more than just sharing thoughts.
Thanks for stopping by
I totally agree with your point of the same tips given every where . All we can find is the same tip just tweaked a little . But you have got to agree that there are some really talented bloggers out there . You are one of them , Harish .
