Are You a Young Wannabe Blogger? Here are the barricades you will have to cross

People these days learn things a lot faster. Advancement of technology has been the sole reason. Few years back when blogging was not a child’s play it was not as simple as it is these days to manage an effective blog. It sucked time. It sucked sweat! and what not you had to face tremors and threats(being a bit creepy eh! never mind).

I as a kiddo blogger faced a lot of threats. And studying in a state like Tamil Nadu says it all. Studies were the most heavy burden. Burden in the sense, a barricade that hindered by path. The path that lead to blogging success. I had to cross a lot of barricades. Eventually I surely could taste a small bit of success. That was just a motivation to be frank.

I was not even young then. You don’t get too mature when you have just crossed 12 odd years of life. As a kid I only had curiosity. To my embarrassment I did not even know the meaning of the word Passion which I came to know once I started blogging.

But still that curiosity to know things, that curiosity to know how it feels to be famous, that curiosity to know how it feels to make money at the age of 14, it was that curiosity that made me popular then(Everything vanished once I vanished out of the blogosphere), made me money, got be appraisals and what not it also got me embarrassments.

But to reach that heights I faced lots of challenges that I had to cross. Some of those which you will face now are here. Take a look!!

1. Studies:

Oh! This is obvious thing. Parents want their kids to study. No parent would bear their sons/daughters getting addicted to computer or internet. (They don’t just understand that its not addiction). Studies are a big barricade. But it can be crossed with a little confidence. Since I did it you can too.

2. Parents

Not all parents support their child sitting on their PC. Some parents also go against their children unaware of what their child is doing. They even think blogging is a threat to their child’s life. But still an hour of talk with them will do.

3. Time

I have regretted on this a lot of times. I had no time. I could neither concentrate of studies nor on blogging. On the whole everything went in a wrong way. Some times I thought I may quit blogging, but that was not the only alternative. Time management is very important if you are a part time blogger. Planning is the only way to cross this barricade.

4. Money

I know most of you will deny this point. But wait! Blogging ain’t joke. If you are blogging for your self satisfaction a wordpress.com blog will do. But if blogging is your passion and you have lot of plans through your blog.

A self hosted blog is must. You just can’t make money with a simple xxx.wordpress.com blog. People don’t respect such blogs until you are already popular or a celebrity. When it comes to a self hosted blog, money is a great concern. I bought my first domain with lot of hardships.

After all domain and hosting sites don’t accept cash. I didn’t own a credit card. How did I cross this barricade? will put up a separate post on this topic.

5. Experience

So obvious that you will lack experience. Experienced bloggers are those who make four or five figures a month. Thinking of making money online through your blog? then you need this.

As you keep blogging, you keep gaining experience. Remember

Experience Speaks

6. Connections

These days facebook and twitter do this for you. But still as a beginner you don’t get trusted connections.

As you build your blog, you get to build loyal readership. That loyal readership gives you valuable connections. Social media is all about connecting with effective people.

These are some challenges you will have to cross. But they are not too threatening unlike it was then. Blogosphere then was different than it is now. These days I see greater potential among young bloggers. When you cross these barricades, you are half done. Its not too long that you will see success.

All The Best!

I like the parents point here, I agree with you that not all parents support their children sitting in their PC, especially when the parents aren’t techie themselves and don’t know anything about online thing.

Thanks for your comment on my blog :)

One more thing should be concentration. In blogging career concentration is very important.

Concentration isn’t really that important but commitment is what we need more.
