Infographics Are The Next Generation of Blog Posts

In an era brimming with exciting and brain tickling blog posts, there is another form of blog posts that is slowly gaining momentum. Yes! as the title suggests I am talking about Infographics.

The text-book definition of an infographic may be defined as graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge intended to present complex information quickly and clearly.

Infographics provide a large amount of information in a precise and clear manner that can be understood easily. Unlike conventional blog posts, they aren’t just plain text. They are made of graphics instead of plain text.

In such a case infographics are used commonly these days. Some times people replace them with conventional blog posting thereby allowing better SEO and readership. Since infographics are eye catchy and informative search engines index and rank them better than conventional blog posts.

I am not going to give a brief explanation for every use of infographics. To put it short let me list them here. They aren’t really worth explaining.

  • Can be replaced by blog posts
  • Requires more time to create but has a lot of returns

Infographics are really the future of information illustration. Bloggers must learn to create infographics and ocassionally publish them.
